This Is Us emotional FINAL season six trailer sees beloved main characters saying goodbye

The official trailer for the sixth and final season of the hit NBC drama series This Is Us was shared on the network’s official YouTube account on Thursday.

In the emotional teaser, several of the program’s main characters were seen going through various changes and dealing with numerous hardships while preparing to start new chapters in their lives.

The forthcoming run of episodes is currently scheduled to make its debut on the network in the early days of next year.

The trailer began with Rebecca, played by Mandy Moore, riding on a train while reflecting on her battle with Alzheimer’s disease, stating: ‘Sometimes I think about what my very last memory will be before the candle goes out.’

Kate Pearson, portrayed by Chrissy Metz, was then seen singing a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s Time After Time to the residents of a retirement home, much to the amazement of her husband, Toby.

Younger versions of Rebecca and Jack, played by Milo Ventimiglia, also enjoyed each other’s company while speaking about her first pregnancy.

Rebecca and Kate were shown having an emotional conversation where the former stated: ‘I don’t know how much longer I before until things get worse, so I made sure to remember every little detail.’

Rebecca and Jack’s children later shared a phone call where they expressed that they were still proud to be the Big Three siblings.

Randall and William, played by Sterling K. Brown and Ron Cephas Jones, were first seen performing together before the former had to calm the latter down as he lay in a hospital bed.

After Rebecca expresses that she wished ‘that I could make time stand still,’ her son Kevin was shown comforting Randall during a panic attack.

Moore’s character, as well as her husband, were then shown marveling at their three infant children, all of whom wore onesies with the phrase ‘The Big Three’ embroidered on their front portions. 

The family later embraced their patriarch as he stepped out of a burning house during an emotional scene.

Several other minor characters from the program were then featured in a rapid-fire montage.

Jack then sat down for a conversation with Rebecca and told his wife that ‘the kids are old enough to start making memories. Important stuff they’re going to remember for the rest of their lives.’ 

Moore’s character made a point of stating: ‘Until a day is over, there’s always a chance you’ll remember it for something else. That’s how we’re going to remember it.’

The forthcoming sixth and final season of This Is Us is currently set to premiere on NBC on January 4th.
